75,000 Uzbeks flee ethnic riots in Kyrgyzstan

More information from Kyrgyzstan, reports are filing in that Kyrgyz mobs have been torching Uzbek villages and slaughtering its residents. More than 75,000 Uzbek refugees have fled and crossed the border into neighboring Uzbekistan.

The Uzbek Emergencies Ministry, says most of the refugees are the elderly, women, children and many with gunshot wounds. Meanwhile, Kyrgyzstan's former president Kurmanbek Bakiyev, is denying his alleged involvement in the unrest.

Sunday, a Russian troop battalion arrived in Kyrgyzstan to protect the country's facilities at the Kant Military Base. The Interfax News Agency, is reporting that... three military cargo aircraft, carrying humanitarian aid and paratroopers, landed at the Russian air base on Sunday afternoon.
