Fujian is among the hardest hit during this round of rainstorms in southeastern China. The province is taking a beating not just from rain, but also from landslides.

Landslides and flash floods have engulfed two vehicles in Nanping City, leaving at least six people dead and 24 people missing. A bus and a mini-van, carrying an estimated 31 people, were swept away Monday noon on a road in the rural mountainous areas.

After a three-day search, six bodies have been recovered and seven people have been rescued. Rescuers raised the bus from a river, but have not retrieved any bodies from the vehicle. The search continues for the missing people.
