Dinosaurs from China's southwestern Zigong city are taking a holiday in the capital Beijing. The old imperial garden Jingshan in the north of the Forbidden City has been transformed into a Jurassic Park, but naturally, there's still a strong Chinese flavor.

This is the best preserved fossil of Mamenchisaurus found in China. The giant reptile is 22 meters long and 8 meters tall.

Zhong Daming, Engineer of Sichuan Zigong Dinosaur Museum, said, "This is the biggest sauropod in Asia. We built it according to the original size with the assistance of a silicon latex model."

Dinosaur fossils or models, these visitors are far from southwestern Zigong, home of the world's largest number of dinosaur fossils. They cover nearly all the types of dinosaurs the Zigong Dinosaur Museum has.

The museum was founded in 1987 as the first specialized dinosaur museum in Asia. It sits on the top of a large concentration of dinosaur fossils both in terms of quantity and diversity. The remains are from a layer called the Meso-Jurassic period.

These rare visitors will remain in Beijing until the end of August.
