High temperatures are continuing in Shanghai where the thermometer has been hovering at around 37 Degrees Celsius for several days. Managers at the World Expo are making efforts to cope with the heatwave.

In the most popular pavilions such as Saudi Arabia, Japan and German, visitors have to queue for at least three hours to get in. Electric fans, air conditioners, sprays and ice have been placed outside the pavilions to lower the temperature.

Sunstroke prevention medicines are also available at medical clinics. The number of performances are also being increased in the evenings to attract visitors at relatively cooler times.
