A military exercise involving South Korean and a US carrier strike group, has been cancelled. The two nations were preparing to perform the drill, later this month in the West Sea.

South Korean officials, say the two allies have been reviewing the idea of holding the exercise this month, with the participation of the 97,000-ton nuclear-powered carrier, the USS George Washington. But both sides, believe there are a variety of restrictions, for the exercise. They also just recently conducted an anti-submarine exercise, in the same water area.

Analysts, say the cancellation appears to have been made, as this could aggravate military tensions, and hamper endeavors to host the Group of 20 summit, which is slated for November 11th and 12th in Seoul.
