Indonesia's Mount Merapi erupted again on Tuesday. Luckily, no NEW casualties have been reported so far.

Mount Merapi continued to erupt Tuesday, spewing out ash clouds and hot gas.

Residents in the area are frightened, but try to resume normal routines to soothe other inhabitants.

Medi Purbo, Lives Near The Volcano, said, "We are afraid, but we still clean the road to comfort residents. People have to take care of housework and their animals during the day. We have got to have the courage."

Merapi eruptions killed 38 people since it began a week ago. About 69-thousand villagers have been evacuated from the area. The volcano is about 400 kilometers east of the country's capital Jakarta.

Local governments are warning people not to return to their homes, for fear of more eruptions.

Meanwhile, aid and rescue are being rushed into the areas from all sources.

It has been a deadly week for the country, with the double disaster of a tsunami and volcano killing more than 500 people and straining the country's emergency response capabilities.
