As part of the visit, China and the UK have held their annual economic and financial dialogue. The talks were in Beijing, between senior officials from the two countries.

Chinese Vice Premier Wang Qishan and UK Chancellor of the Exchequer George Osborne co-chaired the dialogue. Wang Qishan says the dialogue has achieved consensus on many strategic economic issues.

Wang Qishan, Chinese Vice Premier, said, "The dialogue has achieved important consensus that to sustain strong economic recovery is the top priority of world economies. We should resist all forms of protectionism, avoid politicizing economic issues, and push for the overall recovery of the world economy. "

George Osborne says China and the UK are partners in growth. He says through the dialogue the two sides have agree to expand cooperation in many fields, especially economic restructuring to achieve sustainable growth.

It's the 3rd time high-level financial officials of the two countries have met to share views on strategic economic issues, and coordinate macro-economic policies.
