There are over 50 bodies here, a visual reminder that in this political vacuum lives are being lost- perhaps not a failed state but definitely a state that is failing to cure its citizens of a disease that is all to curable.

As these victims are laid to rest, political opponents are contemplating a return to street protests that have led to violence.

The people that lie here probably had political persuasions, for them now political machinations mean nothing, they won't get to vote in any presidential run off, or be able to contribute to Haiti's rebuilding.

Over 2000 have died since the outbreak started - just a few in the political violence. Standing here on this hill it seems Haiti's priorities shouldn't be political.
