The Chengdu Anime, Comic, and Games Fair kicked off in southwest China's Sichuan Province on Friday. The event drew more than 80 animation firms and web portals across China, all hoping to showcase their latest productions.
Spectators are invited to join the interactive games on the spot, all of which are newly-released productions. Besides, the event also features an cartoon expo as well as forums tailored for creative industries in the animation circles of China.
The festival is recognized by professionals and critics, who say that the event establishes a perfect platform for industry practitioners both in China and abroad to communicate and exchange ideas.
The first Chengdu Anime, Comic and Games Fair expects visitors numbering some 20,000 and to see a large number of deals signed amounting to over 10 billion yuan in revenue.
