The frequent cultural exchanges have also triggered a craze for Chinese language in the United States. The result is an average of 14 Confucius Institutes being established every year in the country for the past five years. Learning the Chinese language is not only just a fad, but also something practical and useful.

Apart from Confucius Institutes established in the United States, more than 800 primary schools in the country are offering courses on the Chinese language, which have attracted over 140,000 participants. Some colleges and universities in the States have even begun making Chinese language courses a compulsory subject for their students.
