30 injured in oil refinery explosion in northeast China

An explosion at an oil refinery in Fushun city in northeast China's Liaoning province injured at least 30 workers.The Wednesday's accident also caused damage to about one thousand nearby houses.

The blast led to a big fire at the Number 2 plant of Fushun Petrochemical Company, a subsidiary of China National Petroleum Corporation. No fatalities have been reported, and firefighters have managed to bring the blaze under control. The cause of the explosion is under investigation.
