An explosion has hit Moscow's busiest airport, killing at least 35 people, and wounding more than 140. Investigators are now saying two Britons are among the dead. The Russian president has called it an act of terrorism, and promised to launch an immediate investigation.

The baggage reclaim area at Domodedovo Airport was engulfed by smoke, following the suspected suicide bombing.

There were thousands of people in the international arrivals zone, after two planes arrived from London. Eyewitnesses say the suicide bomber shouted "I'll Kill You All", before detonating a device packed with shrapnel, screws and ball bearings.

Local media reports say the blast was equivalent to 5-10 kilos of TNT.

No one has claimed responsibility for the attack. Investigators trying to identify the bomber, have reportedly found the severed head of a man aged around 30 to 35.
