Dumpling feast whets your appetite

Usually dumplings for the Xi'an Dumpling Banquet need to go through six procedures before they can be served. The filling consists of various meats, chopped vegetables and seasonings, resulting in the flavors such as salty, sweet, hot and sour. And there's almost as much variety in the cooking methods used. They can be steamed, boiled, pan-fried or roasted.

The Xi'an Dumpling Feast appeals to tourists both in China and around the world. Some especially arranged trips to Xi'an only to get a taste of the mouthwatering dumplings.

South Korean Tourist said, "Every dumpling is so delicious! I want to try more!"

The dumplings served at the feast come in various shapes and sizes, and each is given an auspicious name according to its appearance.
