According to the local meteorological bureau, this round of sandstorms have been caused by a cold front. Other parts of the region, including the regional capital city Hohhot will also be affected.

Meanwhile, in the next three days, the Middle and Eastern parts of the Inner Mongolia will also experience heavy sandstorms. Residents are advised to stay indoors as much as possible and take precautionary measures in advance.
