The First Lego League is an international competition for elementary and middle school students to display their talents in science. Teams from schools all over the world gathered to pit their wits with their complicated robots. Robots needed to go through fourteen tasks within two and half minutes.

This year's competition involved the theme "Life Technologies", such as robot emergency treatment. Students also needed to present their design ideas to judges, as a test of originality and part of their final score.
