But Ding was determined to hit an 88 to trim the score to 11-9. But Bingham would go on to take 12-9 lead.

But the Chinese star stayed cool. Ding answered the pressure and delivered a break of 92, he closed the gap to 12-10.

Bingham looked on as Ding swept to a 114 to land the next frame, it was 12-11. And the Chinese snooker ace did not let up. He grabbed the equalizer, it was 12-all going to the deciding frame.

Bingham stepped up first with a 30, then Ding responded with 55. But the Englishman would fall to the tension first as Ding hung on for the win.

The Chinese made history by advancing to the World Championship final-8 for the first time with a dramatic 13-12 comeback.

Ding Junhui said, "It was a long match, I played frame by frame. I think I did okay. I played very well in the final frames. I could see Bingham was under pressure despite leading 12-9, because he wasn't as relaxed as he was in previous frames. "
