Chinese table tennis team is preparing for next month's world championships in the Netherlands. Chinese athletes are once again expected to be on top of the podium.

And Sports Scene's own Peter Koveos caught up with members of the delegation before their departure to Holland.

With less than two weeks to go before the start of the World Championships in Holland, the Chinese table tennis team is a confident and relaxed group.

And as hosts of the tournament the Dutch embassy in Beijing threw a send off party for the Chinese team in preparation for the event.

And despite their relaxed nature, the team is still focusing on winning.

Liu Guoliang, head coach of Men's Table Tennis, said, "Our goal is to win championships, especially the men's singles title. We are confident we can achieve that."

Liu Shiwen, World No.5 table tennis player, said, "Everyone has pressure, but I can handle it. As we get closer to the event, I will get into top form."

There is also extra incentive to do well at the World Championships -- a good showing there could mean a spot on China's Olympic team for London in 2012.

Cai Zhenhua, President of Chinese Table Tennis Association, said, "The World Championships will be the last chance for players to qualify for the London Olympics. I believe this is very important for the Chinese athletes."

For now it is fun and games, but they know the competition will get much harder once they get to Holland.
