Search-and-rescue teams have made multiple sweeps through the destruction, using dozens of dogs and listening devices in hopes of picking up the survivors beneath the rubble. But no new survivors have been found since Tuesday.

The weather service said that the situation has now calmed and has suspended tornado watches and warnings for most of Mississippi, northwestern Alabama and central Kentucky.
