With the dreamworks animation "Kungfu Panda 2" soon to hit Chinese screens, art director Raymond Zibach and his team have arrived in China's Sichuan province... to explore the hometown of real pandas.

He feels soft and fluffy, and maybe he's a bit smelly too... but he sure is cute.

He's the inspiration behind baby Po, hero of the Hollywood film, Kungfu Panda.

During his trip to Chengdu, Zibach visited several locations featured in Kunfu Panda ONE and TWO, including the historic Taoist site Qingcheng... known as "peace valley" in the story.

In the sequel, Po travels to Chengdu, his hometown, where he finds out more about his Kung Fu origins and his family. But he faces some big challenges along the way....

The film follows up on the 2008 blockbuster, which became the third biggest movie that year. Jack Black, Angelina Jolie, and Jackie Chan are just some of the voices behind the characters.

During his stay in Chengdu, Zibach also revealed plans for Kungfu Panda 3.

The Dreamwork crew first traveled to Chengdu as early as 2008. They wanted to ensure the setting was depicted accurately. And that trip was when they first met the inspiration for the star of the show.... Po.
