Libyan opposition leader Mustafa Abdul Jalil says the departure of Muammar Gaddafi is the only way out of Libya's crisis. He also said that the opposition would not hold any talks with him.

Jalil's remarks came one day before the expected visit by South African President Jacob Zuma to Libyan capital Tripoli on Monday. It's yet to be made clear if Gaddafi's departure will be discussed.

Moreover, he said the opposition hopes elections can be held within a year, and that members of the Libyan rebel administration will not seek office if Muammar Gaddafi is removed from power. NATO says it's ready to deploy attack helicopters for the first time in the country with the aim of increasing pressure on Gaddafi's ground forces.

Britain's Defense Minister, Liam Fox, says that using British attack helicopters under NATO command is risky but necessary.
