For this year's World Refugee Day, the UN High Commission for Refugees has set the theme "One Refugee Without Hope is too Many", marking the 60th anniversary of the organization.
Now, let's take a look at the situation facing refugees around the world.
According to UNHCR's reports, nearly 44 million people are displaced worldwide, equivalent to the population of South Korea.
Of those, 15 million are refugees. About 28 million people are displaced within their own country by conflict, and nearly 850 thousand are asylum-seekers.
And about 80 percent of the refugees are being hosted by developing countries. Pakistan has the largest refugee population, at nearly 2 million, followed by Iran and Syria.
