Wimbledon has a new men's tennis champion. Novak Djokovic overcame Rafael Nadal in four sets to take his first title at the All-England Club.

Serbia's Novak Djokovic won his first Wimbledon title and proved himself the best player in the world with a stunning win over Rafael Nadal.

The extraordinary Novok Djockavic..who at the age of four dreamed of becoming a Wimbledon champion...has succeed in his lifetime ambition. And he did against one of the great masters of the modern game...Rafa Nadal ..who tried everything in his vast tennis repertoire...but to no avail. Let's look at some of the highlights."

Novak Djokovic said, "It's just an incredible feeling that I'm never going to forget. This is the best day of my tennis career, and for this kind of day I was practicing every day being dedicated, being a tennis professional. Any athlete in the world dreams of being number one in the world. This is something that gives us a lot of motivation and so finally when you really do it and when you know that you're the best it's just an amazing achievement."

Richard Bestic said, "So, that's Wimbledon 2011, which will be remembered for a generational shift. A changing of the guard, as some of the legendary names of tennis were overshadowed by young men and women with an irrepressible desire to win. And we saw the sun rise in the East...as players like Li Na, Peng Shuai and Zheng Jie became standard bearers for a future generation. All here at Wimbledon's fields of dreams.
