Let's turn to markets this morning, and how they're reacting as Washington appears no closer to raising the U.S. debt ceiling. The US dollar has dropped against the euro and hit a four month low against the Japanese yen.
Gold futures have hit another record high, at 1,610 dollars an ounce. Futures point to a poor opening for U.S.markets on Monday and show that investors are becoming increasingly worried about the failure to reach a debt agreement. Asian markets this morning opened in the red.
