Wenzhou train crash site cleared

The clean-up operation at the bullet train crash site in east China's Zhejiang province has been completed.

Heavy machinery worked for about 17 hours to disassemble broken carriages and take them away for further investigation. Earlier, police released the names of 28 people killed in the accident. Among the list is a female Italian national, Liguori Assunta, and Chinese American, Cao Erxing.

At least 39 people were killed and 192 others were injured in the accident.It occurred after the bullet train was hit by lightning and lost power, and was then rear-ended by another bullet train. More than 100 people are still receiving treatment in 10 hospitals across the city of Wenzhou. 114 are in a stable condition, while 12 others remain critical. Meanwhile, trains have resumed services on the railway where the accident occurred.
