Exhibition marks 100th anniv. of 1911 revolution in NYC

To celebrate the 100th anniversary of the 1911 revolution, a picture exhibition went on display at the UN Headquarters in New York this week.

The exhibition is jointly held by the Overseas Chinese Association and the Permanent Mission of the People's Republic of China to the UN.

The exhibition is titled "China in Development: 1911 to 2011." There are about 100 precious pictures that fully reflect the development process during the 100 years beginning from 1911.

Under-Secretary General, Kiyotaka Akasaka, together with many diplomats from different countries and officers from the UN attended the opening ceremony.

The exhibition will run until Friday.
