Typhoon Muifa to hit Liaodong peninsula on Monday

Typhoon Muifa is approaching waters east of China's Shandong peninsula and is forecast to hit Liaodong peninsula on Monday. Strong winds and continuous heavy rain is forecast to hit several parts of Shandong province.

Typhoon Muifa is approaching waters east of China's Shandong peninsula and is forecast to hit Liaodong peninsula on Monday. Strong winds and continuous heavy rain is forecast to hit several parts of Shandong province. 

17 flights have been canceled at Qingdao airport and more than 20,000 fishing boats have been called back to harbor. Strong winds have also hit Jiangsu and Zhejiang province, as well as Shanghai. Local authorities have organized a large scale evacuation.
