The emperor penguin dubbed Happy Feet, continues his journey home from New Zealand to cooler southern waters in the Antarctic. The penguin began his journey from Wellington Zoo to the research ship Tangaroa, which will release him after four days at sea.

Lisa Argilla, who has helped nurse the penguin, says Happy Feet seemed to sense he was at sea and got very excited. The boat's skipper says the penguin will be released as soon as they reach the drop off point. The one-meter-tall bird was found ill on a New Zealand beach on June 20th. He was moved to the zoo and after devoted care, regained weight. More than 17-hundred people went to the zoo on Sunday to bid goodbye to Happy Feet.
