In many classrooms in remote rural China, it's rare that you will find a television screen or a projector, let alone a computer. Students there have little chance to receive knowledge from the outside world. Even their teachers sometimes find it difficult to answer the questions raised by students.

Cui Yongyuan, founder of the Cui Yongyuan Charity Foundation, delivers a speech at the press conference of the 10-day training program for teachers from remote regions in China's Heilongjiang and Hunan provinces. [CRI]

But the situation has started to gradually improve, thanks to famous CCTV host Cui Yongyuan and an annual rural teacher training program sponsored by his charity foundation.
