Heavy rainfall causes massive damages in Shaanxi

Nineteen people have died and 13 remain missing as of Tuesday afternoon after a rain-triggered landslide buried manufacturing facilities in northwest China's Shaanxi Province on Saturday, according to the local rescue headquarters.

Nineteen people have died and 13 remain missing as of Tuesday afternoon after a rain-triggered landslide buried manufacturing facilities in northwest China's Shaanxi Province on Saturday, according to the local rescue headquarters. 

Rescuers equipped with heavy machinery are searching for 13 missing employees from a ceramics plant in Baqiao, a suburban district in the province's capital of Xi'an, the headquarters said.

The landslide occurred around 2 p.m. Saturday, burying a brick factory and destroying part of the ceramics plant.
