Thousands of junior and high school students in Taiwan set a new Guinness world record on Saturday for the most people playing violins in concert.

The group of 4,645 violin players performed simultaneously on a field of a stadium. Wearing white uniform and red caps, students between the ages of 3 and 18 from 172 schools in central Taiwan s Changhua County performed three musical pieces, including Ode to Changhua, in unison for five minutes.

Witnessed by Deaves Gareth of the Guinness World Records, the event was certified as breaking the record set in 1925 in London, when 4,000 violinists played together.
