APEC Economic Leaders Meeting starts in Hawaii

The Economic Leaders Meeting of the 19th Asian-Pacific Economic Cooperation started its first-day agenda in Honolulu, Hawaii on Tuesday.

The first-day agenda included two closed-door sessions -- the Concluding Senior Officials Meeting and the Senior Finance Officials Meeting.

With the theme "Toward a Seamless Regional Economy", the APEC summit aims at addressing issues ranging from regional economic growth, integration, green growth, energy security and regulatory cooperation.

Chinese Ambassador to the United States Zhang Yesui said President Hu Jintao will attend the meeting and elaborate on China's views on the economic situation in the Asian-Pacific region and the world as a whole.
