China's own aircraft manufacturer, Commercial Aircraft Corporation of China, or Comac, has won an order for 30 of its C919s. It's the third deal in about a month for the nation's first passenger jet, and it comes from the Bank of Communication's leasing arm.

Shanghai-based Commercial Aircraft Corporation of China says the latest agreement raises the order backlog for the single-aisle plane to 195.

Comac says the C919 is due to make its first flight in 2014, and to enter full service two years after that.

Chen Jin, director of Marketing & Sales of Comac, said: "195 planes sold shows that this aircraft has gained market recognition. In the future, we will produce 150 of them per year. And we can guarantee to deliver every order before 2020."

Last month, Comac won 65 orders for C919s from ICBC's leasing arm and Sichuan Airlines - boosting its efforts to challenge Boeing and Airbus SAS in the world's largest plane market.

Chen Min said: "This plane has an excellent design, and its very safe and comfortable. And it's competitive price-wise versus some foreign aircraft companies. The price to performance ratio is good too."

China will need as many as 5,000 new aircraft through 2030, of which 70 percent will be narrow-body planes, according to Boeing.
