Another exhibition of Chinese paintings and calligraphy has arrived at the Today Art Museum in Beijing. But this exhibition challenges the ordinary way of displaying art works.

It follows the Chinese way of appreciation, opening the work in person and sharing it with a few people at a time, all within arm's reach.

Titled "the way from heart to art", the exhibition also performs as a game organized by a curator, artists and the museum, quite similarly to a traditional Chinese literati's salon.

All visitors are asked to reserve in advance. By doing so, not only do they get to appreciate the works, but they can share a cup of tea with artists and curators.

Exhibits include Qiu Ting's mountain and water painting and Xu Jian's flower and bird painting. The display runs until Tuesday.
