Over 100 children gave performances at the Confucius Temple in Nanjing recently to promote Chinese culture.

This activity also hopes to commemorate Confucius, the Chinese thinker and social philosopher of the Spring and Autumn Period around 22-hundred years ago.

The show included various forms of traditional arts including crosstalks, dances and Kungfu. The students recited the poem "Standards for Being a Good Student and Child".

The poem was written by a Qing dynasty scholar in accordance with Confucian standards for children and students.

This public program is organized by the Meng Niu milk company and has given performances in 29 counties of southern China, along with giving lectures and providing books to nurture students.
