The Chinese Foreign Ministry has voiced a solemn protest against the landing of four Japanese politicians on the disputed Diaoyu Islands.

The Foreign Ministry spokesman, Hong Lei, says China has lodged an official protest over the matter.

He added the Diaoyu Islands are an inalienable part of Chinese territory and China's sovereignty over the islands is indisputable.
