Anthony leads Knicks past Wizards

Elsewhere in Washington, the Wizards hosting the New York Knicks.

John Wall led the Wizards an early lead in the first quarter. He gave Washington an early double-digit advantage. 22 points and nine assists for Wall on the night.

But the Knicks big two brought New York back, Amare Stoudemire with the pass, Carmelo Anthony with the dunk. It's a 1-point game after the first half.

And the Knicks would open it up in the third as 'Melo gets two more of his 38 for the game. New York opened up a 10 point lead.

But the Wizards came back in the fourth. Wall erased the Knicks lead and puts the Wizards up 1 with 47 seconds to go.

But the Knicks would have an answer. Anthony would come through with the clutch triple.

Carmelo making the Wizards take notice and the Knicks led by 2.

Last chance for Washington, down by three and Nick Young could not connect at the end. The Knicks held on to beat the winless Wizards 99-96.
