To mark the 40th anniversary of the founding of diplomatic relations between China and Japan, 200 pieces of Chinese art have gone on display in Tokyo.

The exhibits were selected from the 1.8 million treasures in Beijing’s Palace Museum, including the priceless "Riverside Scenes at the Qingming Festival" masterpiece.

Thousands of visitors from all over Japan and abroad were able to catch a rare glimpse of the famous painting at the Tokyo National Museum.

The exhibition runs until January 19th.
