The bureau is advising travellers to keep a close watch on the weather forecast and take precautions when on the road. Snow is predicted to hit most areas in north China, while the south will experience light to moderate rain.
The snow is expected to ease off by Chinese New Year, but afterwards temperatures are set to fall below zero across central China.
