As Chinese New Year Eve draw near, the number of travellers is at its peak. Beijing's big major railway stations carried more than 45 thousand passengers Thursday, the highest of this travel rush.
To cope with the demand for tickets, the Chinese Railway Ministry has extended the on-line and telephone ticket booking period. Passengers can now get tickets for February the third starting Saturday. But the booking period for ticket booths at railway stations remains unchanged.
