The African Union has inaugurated its new headquarters and conference centre in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. Leaders of the AU countries attended the ceremony.

The ceremony was witnessed by various African heads of states and government.

Jia Qinglin also addressed the conference emphasizing Africa-China relations, and lauding the Africa union for its work on the continent.

The new modern building was constructed as a gift from China to Africa.
