Pilots from Air France went on strike over new government plans related to protesting. |
Charles du Gaulle airport in Paris, usually packed with passengers.
But a 4-day strike by air transport workers has left many of its planes grounded.
Around 100 flights from Paris' main airports have been cancelled leaving those with tickets angry.
Passenger Fred said: "We paid for a service and as usual we are hostages. It's always the same thing, always the same. It's been like this for years and I think we should have had the basic service, we shouldn't be stuck and we should have at least received an email."
Passenger Jocelyn said: "We took the risk of coming this morning even though our flight could be cancelled at the last minute. We've been told that our flight has not been cancelled so we are praying we will leave on time."

The dispute is over new legislation that would require workers to give 48 hours notice before striking.
The unions say it undermines their rights.
The disruption follows a weekend of air delays and cancellations across Europe caused by heavy snow.
On Sunday, London's biggest airport Heathrow cut around half its 1,300 flights.
Many criticised Heathrow's operators BAA for reducing services.
The last time there was significant snow - at the end of 2010 - the airport virtually shut down.
Weather forecasters say freezing temperatures could continue into next week.
