UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon says he "firmly condemns" twin bomb attacks in Aleppo, Syria’s second largest city and economic power house.

Car bombs hit two sites of the Syrian government forces on Friday, leaving 28 people dead and 235 injured. The Syrian government says more than 2,000 army and security personnel have been killed during the months-long unrest, while UN puts the death toll at more than 5,400.
