It may have been the weekend, but New York Fashion Week stops for no one, with more major shows seemingly happening on Saturday, Sunday and Monday. And in New York, that means more lunatics jostling to sneak into any show they can. Here is a look at some of the collections during those three days.

There was lots of outerwear in black, white and oxblood at the dark Pier 94 for the Wang show.Alexander Wang assembled a most impressive group of top models for a test spin of his newest looks.

The clothes were more straightforward than Wang has offered recently. This time, the military-inspired trench coats, wool sweaters and tweed jackets, potentially work for anyone who needs an outfit for a dressy event or even for the office.

Diane von Furstenberg let the crowd attending New York Fashion Week in on a little secret Sunday: Fashion is a puzzle. She used jigsaw puzzle pieces as the prominent theme of her fall collection.

Diane von Furstenberg said "This collection is called Rendez-Vous. It's all about loving to be a woman. It's about seduction. It is bold. It is daring. It is strong, but it has humor. It's all about liking your body, and at the same time with big coats, so it's the ying and the yang, the color."

Diane alternated between sophisticated, simple and sometimes smouldering jersey dresses in dark colors and fun cocktail numbers in bright pink, lime green and bright blue.

Carolina Herrera's fall collection offered Monday at New York Fashion Week highlighted what's likely to be a trend for next season. She embraced a story of layering complete with a cool palette of navy, robin egg blue, ash, eggplant, and black. The new season introduced lengthened silhouettes, cozy cowls and abstract prints. For the final look, Herrera delivered drama in the form of a coral ball gown worn by model Anmeline Valade.
