Eurozone finance ministers have discussed via conference call whether to delay a rescue package for Greece.

EU sources say some countries suggested that final approval of the package should only be granted after Greece holds elections in April.

However, Greece is facing a deadline in mid March for 14.5 billion euros in debt repayments. Missing the deadline will result in a default likely to shake the eurozone.
