While the New York Knicks winning streak came to an end at the hands of the New Orleans Hornets on Friday night, strong support from Jeremy Lin fans continues. It was a close encounter with the Knicks unable to register their eighth consecutive win but as CCTV's reporter Liling Tan reports from New York - there was only four points in it.

A shocking loss against the Hornets Fans hoping to see Jeremy Lin lead the New York Knicks to another win shuffled home, disappointed, after the surprising upset.

Fans said, "It was an awesome game but we're a little disappointed. We were hoping the Knicks would win."

"You're gonna have bad breaks and things just didn't go their way tonight. But the thing I love about the Knicks right now They're playing hard."

"It was exciting but it was aggravating at the end."

"It's just I thought they would play better than they did, but."

The somber mood is a stark contrast to the optimism at the start of the game. At the Firefly bar in Manhattan, the excitement among its patrons in the game's first half was palpable.

"Jeremy Lin is the most exciting thing going on in the NBA right now. Everyone's out tonight supporting the Knicks. There is so much energy in the Garden, It's back again. I can t believe it."

"Well I'm pretty sure -- I ve seen the last seven games -- and he's been abusing everybody who's been around him so I have full confidence that that 17-point lead they have right now It's about to drain down back to zero and we're going to win this game. Why Because Jeremy Lin is The Man."

"Have you become an overnight expert on basketball or an overnight expert on Jeremy Lin Jeremy Lin, 23 years old, from Harvard!"

"Well in all the years that I've watched and played sports, he's energized New York better than any athlete I've ever seen. In the shortest period of time, and I think he's been able to bring everybody together."

The latest upset did dampen some of that hope we saw earlier, but like Jeremy Lin, his fans may be down, but not out.

Fans said, "I know he got seven games for us so it came to a losing streak but he's still good."

"It was disappointing they lost. But Jeremy Lin was great. I love him."

"Not so good. Their first loss but they needed one to get through the rest. But its on the way for Linmania for sure."

"They could've done better but next time they're going to win."

But clearly, fans of Jeremy Lin believe that this sensation will bounce back.
