Brazil's annual carnival parades continue to dazzle crowds in Rio de Janeiro. Six elite samba schools have performed in the newly renovated and expanded Sambadrome arena.

Revellers from the Salgueiro samba school take part in the parade on the second night of the annual Carnival parade in Rio de Janeiro's Sambadrome, February 20, 2012.

Rio's League of Samba Schools says more than 70-thousand people attended the show. The parades were performed by more than 3-thousand people on eight massive floats, with each parade lasting more than an hour.

The school honored renowned classics like "Fiddler on the Roof," "The Wizard of Oz" and "Cats" with elaborate costumes and choreographies.
