The latest Israeli air strikes have brought about more casualties. Palestinian medics and Hamas witnesses say a 15-year-old boy is among the killed in the most recent missile strike Monday in northern Gaza.

Smoke rises from an explosion following an Israeli airstrike in Gaza City, Saturday, March 10, 2012.

The boy was killed on his way to school. 4 ohter children were wounded in the same attack on Monday. Cross-border violence between Israel and Gaza militants has entered its fourth day, killing at least 21 and wounding many more.

The attacks have disrupted normal life in southern Israel, forcing many schools to close on Sunday and Monday. Israeli aircraft have continued to overfly Gaza since Friday. The Islamic Jihad Movement has released video footage showing what they claimed to be rockets launching at southern Israel on Monday morning.

The content, date or location of the footage can't be independently verified. The cross-border violence, touched off by Israel's killing of a top Palestine militant leader on Friday, has been the worst exchange of fire between Israel and the Hamas-ruled territory in months.

Gaza's Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh said Sunday that neighboring Egypt was working to stop the violence and consulting with militant factions. But he added Israel would have to first stop its air strikes.
