March 15th is the International Day for Protecting Consumers' Rights. In line with this theme, some authors are claiming Apple sells their books in its app store without authorial copyright.

Author Nanpai Sanshu says his books have been downloaded several millions times, from which he has lost more than 20 million yuan.

22 authors and some publishing companies have founded a league to protect their rights, claiming more than 10 million yuan for copyright infringement of 95 books they say were pirated by app store.

Apple has not released any official response, even though it received a legal letter from the league last July.
