The Democratic People's Republic of Korea has warned the South Korean government not to go through with putting the nuclear issue on the agenda of the forthcoming Seoul Nuclear Security Summit.

The country's State Television said the denuclearization of the Korean peninsula is now facing a new challenge due to the move made by the South Korean government. The warning was issued with the opening of the Nuclear Security Summit only five days away.

The summit will be attended by the leaders of 54 nations and the leaders of international organizations. The DPRK has criticized the summit, calling it a serious provocation.
