Chinese culture is taking central stage at the 2012 London Book Fair which gets underway on Monday. The book fair, one of the largest in the world, has concentrated mainly on emerging markets in recent years.

World publishers eye China at London book fair.

The fair's Market Focus event, held Sunday, marked three days of meetings between 21 Chinese writers and their British counterparts. Chinese publishers attending the fair are expecting greater mutual understanding and strengthened trade ties between Britain and China.

British publishers believe China, the largest book market by volume, will bring more business opportunities to the struggling industry.
